Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your SmartMum account and all associated data directly from within the app. This action is irreversible and will permanently remove all your pregnancy tracking data, health records, and account information.

How to Delete Your Account

Delete from the App

You can delete your account directly within the SmartMum app by following these steps:

  1. Open the SmartMum app and sign in to your account
  2. Go to Settings (tap your profile icon in the top corner)
  3. Select Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm deletion

Unable to access the app?

If you cannot access the app, please contact our support team at info@smartmum.ai and we will assist you with account deletion.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Immediately Deleted

  • Profile information and account credentials
  • Pregnancy tracking data and milestones
  • Health metrics and vital signs records
  • Symptom logs and wellness data
  • Baby kick counts and movement patterns
  • Appointment schedules and reminders
  • Educational content preferences
  • Family member data (if added)
  • Photos and media uploads
  • App usage analytics tied to your account

Retained for Legal Compliance

  • Basic transaction records (if applicable) — 7 years
  • Support ticket communications — 3 years
  • Fraud prevention logs — 2 years
  • Legal compliance records — As required by law
  • Anonymised analytics data (non-identifiable)

Data Deletion Timeline

Deletion Initiated

You confirm your deletion request in the app.

Account Deactivated

Your account is immediately deactivated and you are signed out.

Data Deletion

Your account and associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days.

Confirmation

We send a final confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Important Considerations

Before You Delete

  • Download any important health data you want to keep
  • Consider temporarily deactivating instead of permanent deletion
  • Remember that this action cannot be undone
  • You will lose access to all historical pregnancy data

Alternative: Account Deactivation

If you're unsure about permanent deletion, you can temporarily deactivate your account instead. This allows you to reactivate later while keeping your data safe.
